Questions & Answers

Everyone has questions. Tell us yours.

Q:
What are Heat Printing Pillows and Heat Press Cover Sheets used for?
A:
6 Mil Heat Press Cover Sheets are our most popular cover sheets. They protect letters and numbers from being heat applied to the upper heating element of your heat press machine. They also leave a nice finish on the letters and numbers, protect the garment and upper platen from dirt and dyes, and are reusable. We also offer Kraft Paper Cover Sheets that are used for the same purpose, but the Kraft Paper helps reduce static build-up while heat applying our CAD-CUT® Materials.

Heat Printing Pillows and Print Perfect Pads create a flat, even surface for equal temperature and pressure throughout the heat transfer. They’re helpful when you’re heat-applying decoration on those items that include buttons, heavy seams, and zippers!
Q:
Why is a cover sheet necessary?
A:
A cover sheet not only protects your garment, it also protects your upper platen from stains, inks, adhesives, and scratches.
Q:
How do I clean and store my Reusable Cover Sheet?
A:
You can wipe your Reusable Cover Sheet with a damp cloth and store it in a flat area to prevent any creasing or wrinkles.
Q:
How long will my cover sheet last?
A:
The life of a cover sheet depends on how often you use it and if it's stored and cared for properly. Reusable Cover Sheets are more durable and can last several months. Kraft Cover Sheets are for short-term use.
Q:
I just bought a heat press, what accessories do I need to print T-shirts?
A:
You will need some basic accessories, such as Kraft paper, Reusable Cover Sheets, and heat erasers and pillows. Each accessory assists in the heat application process and increases productivity.
Q:
I am doing reversible jerseys, should I put something in between when heat applying?
A:
Yes. We recommend using a Heat Printing Pillow or Reusable Cover Sheet to prevent the design from pressing through to the other side of the jersey.
