Fashion Film used to be the best in Stahls lineup. But i have a gold and a white roll that have had nothing but peeling problems. It is starting to affect business. I hope this is a batch issue thing, but I am losing confidence fast.

Used 1 yard of athletic cardinal for names on back of hoodies for a football team, I spelt one name wrong and when using Stahls solvent to lift one letter off I barely even used a small amount of solvent and the entire letter completely pulled away. It has no stick to the garment behind it. It was the same issue when heat applying the names some letters would stick and some would remain on the carrier paper and not stick at all. It was a hassle and had to press up to 3 times to feel confident those letters are going to stay on. Hoping I don;t start getting a call that names are coming off.

Followed Directions to T and still had bad turnout

I had read the reviews, and still took a chance, client picked up their fresh (unwashed) T's and I got the dreaded email that they were already experiencing the vinyl peeling from the garment (less than a week after they picked up order). I followed directions explicitly and I have to say if there's still that much margin of error to use this, then there's no way it's worth the risk of having to replace orders. I would NOT recommend even bothering trying your luck with this material. I'll be bringing my business to Specialty Materials from here on out.

After reading some reviews, was a little hesitant to try this product, but after using the product for the past four years have had INCREDIBLE results and wear since then, and highly recommend it. Great product for layering and detailed designs! NOTE: Most of the negative reviews I believe have to do with settings on either the heat press, or the cutter i.e, operator error

I'm not sure why there are so many bad reviews of this product. I'm wondering if others are not using it on the correct material. The only time I have ever had problems with pealing is when I put it on a shirt that has already been washed(not a new shirt). We use this vinyl on everything we can. I have also made my family several shirts so that I can see how it wears and it's great. Lasts longer than the shirt. Anyway, I thought this could use a good review since we love it. My only advice is to be sure you read the instructions of use on this site before using it.

Reviewed by Yvonne 7/14/2017 9:39:40 PM

I bought the CAD-CUT 15" Fashion Film in matte black and after washing, as per the instructions on their website, the vinyl peeled off almost completely. I, unfortunately, used the bad vinyl on three customer orders. Not only did I have to reproduce those shirts(using a better product from a different company) but also ship them again. I called Stahls' and their customer service representative was rude and told me to send the garment in to have it inspected by their quality control department and then she proceeded to say they haven't had any complaints or issues thus far. LIES! Obviously after reading the reviews, it clearly has been an issue and I am not surprised to read about their disappointing customer service.

 Vinyl Fell Off

Created demo dry-fit shirt using competitor's vinyl on front and Stahl's Fashion Film Metallic Gold for name and number on back. After a couple of hours the letters and number on back simply released and fell off. Embarrassing to say the least. Have 10 short rolls of material I'm now afraid to use.

 Highly disappointed in customer service
Reviewed by Charlotte Thompson 5/10/2017 1:07:26 PM

To make a long story short the product was always awesome until one recent roll. I tried everything changing settings ordering new parts that were expensive based on what I was told. I ordered another roll in the meantime to see if it was the problem because I had tried everything else and tech support also suggested it was that specific roll of vinyl. New roll again was great, but very disappointed that they will not replace the roll that was no good and that after 2 weeks of waiting for a response from Marty and the project being held up that I still have never heard back from Marty. I wasted money on parts and wasted my time, but Stahls wont fix the problem for me so I am forced to just look for vinyl elsewhere sadly.

It doesn't cut consistently and takes a very long time weeding. I love sports film light first time trying this was a big waste of money, time, and energy. I managed 30 images out of a 25 yard roll. Called in and didn't get much help. The gentleman said "I've never seen a bad review about it." After reading some I realized I'm not the only person.

 Will not cut cleanly
Reviewed by Ryan Lemay 12/4/2016 6:47:12 PM

I have tried every possible setting for downforce and blade depth (even tried multiple blades and blade angles) . Once you get deep enough into the material the vinyl bends and folds and destroys the material. It seems like there is some inconsistency in material thickness, as some of the design will pull up cleanly, while other parts just stretch and tear. I had high hopes for this vinyl, but it absolutely will not cut and weed cleanly.

Over the last few years I have tried almost every variety of vinyl Stahl's offers as well as some of their competitors, all of whom I do not use anymore but this vinyl is KING. Cuts fine detail beautifully. Weeds easily, but you can not grip and rip as the material is too thin for that. (I recommend weighing the edges down so the carrier doesn't keep bending with it) Stuff also prints like a dream in single or multi color. Has an amazing soft hand feel once printed, almost don't even notice it is there. This is my go to for printing tee shirts all day, every day.

I have been a Siser customer for a long time and tried Stahls Fashion film because they had the exact colors I needed. Wow, was I pleasantly suprised. I did a two-color layer. Instructions were to do a 2-sec tack and peel. It peeled after 2 seconds no issues, which suprised me. I was cutting letters less than a 1/4 in tall and they held to shirt after tack! Ill never use another brand again If I can always find the color I need here.

It is so incredibly easy to weed. I have used some in the past where it was almost impossible to see the cut lines. It's application is easy and it is quite durable. We do not practice what we preach in regards to washing and drying and still the design last. I've never had a problem with the vinyl peeling. No problems at all with this vinyl! I would recommend it to anyone to use.
