  • A Heat Transfer Pillow or Print Perfect Pad is recommended for even pressure when working around zippers, buttons, or heavy seams.

Do you offer custom rhinestone transfer designs?
A:
We do not currently offer custom rhinestone designs.
Q:
What is the difference between your rhinestones and Swarovski rhinestones?
A:
There are several differences between Stahls’ Korean Low Lead Rhinestones and Swarovski rhinestones. Swarovski stones have 18 facets per stone, ours have the industry standard of 12 facets. Our rhinestones are less expensive than Swarovski and are made of glass with low lead. True Swarovski crystal has lead content, which will not meet CPSIA standards on children’s clothing. Our rhinestones meet or are below standard lead limits.
Q:
What is the difference between a rhinestone, a rhinestud, and a nailhead?
A:
Rhinestones are made of cut, faceted glass, making them look like gemstones. Being glass, they do contain some lead. Rhinestuds are faceted metal and are lead-free. Nailheads are also metal and have a smooth, rounded surface as opposed to the faceted surface of rhinestones and studs.
Q:
Do your rhinestones meet lead content regulations?
A:
Yes, our rhinestones are low lead and meet the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA) standards for adults and children. Our rhinestuds contain no lead.
Q:
Can I apply your rhinestone products with a household iron?
A:
We do not recommend applying our rhinestone products with a household iron. For best results, the accurate pressure and heat supplied by a heat press are required.
Q:
Where are your rhinestones made?
A:
All of our rhinestones and rhinestuds are Korean-made. Korean rhinestones have a reputation for being of higher quality and brilliance.
