Bring the Bling

Rhinestones are one of the hottest trends in the garment decoration industry. Add fun and sparkle to your designs with this easy to learn technique, which can be combined with other decoration methods, such as screen printed transfers and heat transfer materials.

Our rhinestones and rhinestuds are Korean-made and come in several snazzy colors and sizes. Simply cut out your design with a vinyl cutter, transfer it to your garment, and apply with a heat press.

Need stencil material, backer boards, and all the other accessories necessary to make your own designs? Visit our Rhinestone Accessories page.

Questions & Answers

Everyone has questions. Tell us yours.

Q:
Are there any special washing instructions for rhinestone decorated garments?
A:
We recommend that rhinestone/rhinestud decorated garments are turned inside out before washing, machine washed warm with mild detergent, and hang dried. We recommend that you do not have these garments dry cleaned.
Q:
What is the difference between your rhinestones and Swarovski rhinestones?
A:
There are several differences between Stahls’ Korean Low Lead Rhinestones and Swarovski rhinestones. Swarovski stones have 18 facets per stone, ours have the industry standard of 12 facets. Our rhinestones are less expensive than Swarovski and are made of glass with low lead. True Swarovski crystal has lead content, which will not meet CPSIA standards on children’s clothing. Our rhinestones meet or are below standard lead limits.
Q:
What is the difference between a rhinestone and a rhinestud?
A:
Rhinestones are made of cut, faceted glass, making them look like gemstones. Being glass, they do contain some lead. Rhinestuds are faceted metal and are lead-free.
Q:
Can rhinestones/rhinestuds be applied to heat transfer vinyls?
A:
We do not recommend applying rhinestones directly to heat transfer materials. We recommend using rhinestones as accents, applied near the heat transfer vinyl.
