Care Instructions

Turn garment inside out. Wash on gentle cycle, cold water, mild detergent. No bleach, no whiteners. Dry in household dryer on low to medium setting. To prolong life of reflectivity, hand washing and line drying is recommended.

Cutting Notes

For optimal cutting and weeding, maintain a line thickness of at least 1/8” for lettering & logos.

Stahls' is the first company in the imprinted sportswear industry to have a rigorous lab certification process. This ensures the highest quality materials to meet the needs of all of your real-world applications. Depending on the material, we run tests based on these parameters: safety, durability, and performance. The materials are rated on a scale from 1 to 5, 5 being the highest rating.

Q:
Why is it necessary to pre-heat a garment before heat applying?
A:
Pre-heating your garment removes the chemicals and moisture that may be in the garment due to manufacturing. Also, pre-heating assures a wrinkle free surface for heat application.
Q:
My cutter won’t cut after the job was sent from my computer. What could be the problem?
A:
Check to see that your cables are securely connected from the computer to the cutter. If that doesn't work, consult your owner's manual.
Q:
Why is a cover sheet necessary?
A:
A cover sheet not only protects your garment, it also protects your upper platen from stains, inks, adhesives, and scratches.
Q:
Can I use a household iron to apply Stahls' products?
A:
We do not recommend applying any of Stahls' products with a household hand iron. We suggest using a heat press with adjustable pressure settings.
Q:
What caused my material to bunch while cutting?
A:
On a vinyl cutter, be sure the pinch rollers are locked down, securing the edges of your material to allow for continuous feed.
Q:
Why are designs not cutting smoothly and leaving ragged edges?
A:
First, check that your blade does not need to be replaced, then verify that you are using the proper cutting guidelines for the material you are cutting. If this doesn't solve the problem, it could be the amount of nodes in the design. To reduce the number of nodes in a design you will need to use your graphics program's node edit tool.
Q:
How do I know if my order is shipping from Michigan or Arizona?
A:
The shipping location is indicated in your cart under U.O.M. It will be highligted in red SCS stands for Michigan and GSW stands for Arizona.
Q:
I order materials by the yard, but the rolls are too long for my GX-24. Did I do something wrong?
A:
You should be using CAD-CUT® heat transfer material with your vinyl cutter. These materials have a clear carrier and the widths are compatible with the GX-24.

Materials By the Yard are rolls that must be hand cut or used with a flatbed cutter. This material does not have a carrier backing and is typically too long for a vinyl cutter.
