Care Instructions

For best results, turn garment inside out. Hand or machine wash on cold, delicate cycle, then line or air dry. For maximum durability do not place in dryer. Do not use bleach. Do not iron on printed area. Heat transfer foil is a vibrant, eye catching product, but its durability is not guaranteed to outlast the garment. Please use the product and set customer expectations accordingly.

Storage

Store in a cool and dry area. Keep away from direct heat, sunlight and humidity.

Additional Effects

For a distress foil effect, crumple foil in a ball and then flatten before pressing. To add an additional color tone, lay second color flat over distressed foil print and repeat the application.

Q:
Do your heat transfer foils stick to plastisol inks (if used properly), or do they always have to be heat pressed?
A:
Our heat transfer foils will adhere to plastisol inks. We do recommend heat application.
Q:
I’m starting my own t-shirt company and I’m looking for the best quality transfer paper for an inkjet printer, both for light-colored and dark-colored garments as well as any type of garment. What do you recommend?
A:
For use with inkjet or bubble jet printers, we recommend our InkTra® transfer paper product line. You may use our original InkTra for light colored cotton or polyester fabrics, Stretch for light colored cotton, polyester or Lycra®/Spandex fabrics and Opaque for dark colored cotton or polyester fabrics.
Q:
How do I know if I need InkTra® Transfer paper or ExactPrint™?
A:
InkTra Transfer paper is designed to work with any inkjet or bubble jet printing system. ExactPrint is specifically designed to be used with laser printers and copiers which use fuser oil.

Q:
Is it important to use the correct pressure when applying designs to garments?
A:
The key to proper application is the correct time, temperature and pressure for the material you are heat applying. If you have too much pressure it may result in strikethrough. Not enough pressure may affect the material's adhesion.
